The “Crafts as an Art Form” Art Salon explores the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary art. It highlights how practices such as pottery, weaving, embroidery, woodworking, and more can be recognized and celebrated as legitimate forms of fine art.

The POR:TA Art Salons aim to gather like-minded individuals around the arts to share their passion for art, learn from each other, and deepen their understanding and appreciation of this rich and diverse field. The Art Salons are curated by POR:TA Founding Board Member Rita Almeida Freitas.
